A full-length sonic study within the Snow Leopard project
I am deeply excited to share the first full-length recording from the Snow Leopard project.
This set has been taking shape over the last couple of months through repetition, practice, and refinement. Part of that work happened live through repeated mixing, listening, and learning how these tracks wanted to move through one another. Part of it happened afterward, through the backend studio work of shaping the recording into something more polished, presentable, and ready to share.
Echoes of the Snow Leopard brings together my recent experimentation with looping, filtering, effect-based transition work, and emotional continuity. It explores how tracks can call across a mix, answer what came before, or quietly beckon what comes next, while remaining connected by a shared atmosphere.
This music represents something close to the depth of my being. It invites introspection and reflection, but also movement, groove, and interconnection. There is something deeply human in it, and yet something ethereal too.
That paradox, the pull between seeking and surrendering, feels central to Snow Leopard.
The more directly one tries to chase its meaning, the more elusive it becomes. The invitation is not to force the answer, but to listen, feel, move, and allow the atmosphere to reveal what it will.
Feel the emotions.
Feel the groove.

The Snow Leopard Calls From Within

The Snow Leopard Calls From Within is the second installment of the Snow Leopard project from Big Cat Energy.
This set is a journey from rupture and destabilization, through attachment and existential questioning, toward autonomy, memory, and finally a wordless kind of resolution.
This is a story of personal lived experience, realized self-worth, and reclaimed power. The message is one of empowerment through challenge and self-growth. Its call to action is this:
“The power has been with you the entire time. Inside of you. You do not need to beg others for what you already possess. Recognize your power and autonomy, reclaim it, and become both the author and the hero of your own story.”
From a technical standpoint, this recording also reflects some intentional tempo and momentum choices. “Expanse” opens at its native 125 BPM, and I kept “Breaking Point” at 125 BPM rather than dropping back down so the set would not lose forward motion early on. Later in the mix, “Sagittarius” by MOGYLE was played at 128 BPM, while “Manta” by KREAM and “Opus” by Eric Prydz were played at 130 BPM to preserve momentum through the closing arc. I also briefly reprised the lyrical breakdown from “Mother” while moving into “Butterfly Effect,” letting that emotional thread echo into the next track rather than fully closing before the transition.
I sat with this recording for about a week before deciding to release it. There are one or two sections that I know could have been adjusted, but my critiques of them felt minor enough that I chose to preserve the original recording as it is. Part of this project is documenting the evolution of my mixing, taste, decision-making, and technical instincts over time. Leaving this version intact gives my future self something honest to look back on, not just as a release, but as a marker of where my ear and craft were in this moment.
I also want to give special acknowledgment to MOGYLE. “Sagittarius” is one of my favorite tracks of his, and MOGYLE is both a personal friend and a talented artist whose work I genuinely respect and admire. I have been looking forward to incorporating his music into my mixes, and I am especially excited that my second Snow Leopard project set features his work.
